# Integrating with Subscript

## Prerequisites

To connect Subscript with Drivetrain, you need:

1. An active Subscript account
2. Admin privileges on Subscript
3. Admin privileges in Drivetrain

## Subscript setup

Drivetrain can connect to Subscript using an **API key**. To get an API key, please follow the steps:

## Get API key <a href="#get-api-key" id="get-api-key"></a>

Step 1: Log in to your [Subscript account](https://app.subscript.com/).

Step 2: Navigate to **Configuration** and Hover on **External Sources.**

Step 3: Scroll down and select **Managing Subscript API key**.

Step 4: Share the API key to your Customer Success Manager.

Step 5 (Optional): Share a new key by clicking **Rotate API key** if there is no existing key used by any external source.
