Integrating with Paycom

This guide walks you through the steps required to connect your Paycom instance with Drivetrain. The process is simple and requires minimal setup on your end.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • You have an active Paycom account

  • You have access to your Paycom Account Manager or Customer Success representative

  • Admin access in Drivetrain with permission to add data sources

Step 1: Request API Credentials From Paycom

To enable the Paycom → Drivetrain integration, Paycom must issue:

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

These credentials can only be generated by Paycom and must be requested through your Paycom Account Manager. Reach out to your Paycom representative and request API credentials for third-party integration.

Step 2: Integrate in Drivetrain

  • Go to the Data page in Drivetrain

  • Click the + icon in the top-left corner to add a new data source

  • Select Paycom from the list of available integrations

  • Click I am an admin

  • Check the permissions and click Next

  • Enter your Client ID as the Username

  • Enter your Client Secret as the Password

  • Click Next to finish integrating
