Grant temporary access to NetSuite
Steps to grant Drivetrain temporary access to NetSuite.
In rare cases—such as data inconsistencies, unexpected sync behavior, or bugs—your Drivetrain onboarding or support team may ask you to grant temporary access to your NetSuite account. This lets us investigate issues directly in your environment, using a read-only user that you control.
Use this guide only if requested by Drivetrain support. Most users do not need to complete this setup.
Overview
This guide walks you through how to:
Create a dedicated integration user in NetSuite
Assign the appropriate access and permissions
Share access securely with Drivetrain
Revoke access after troubleshooting is complete
All access granted via this method is read-only and temporary. You can remove the user at any time.
Step 1: Create a Dedicated User
Log in to NetSuite with an admin account
Go to Lists > Employees > Employees > New
Use the Standard Employee Form
Set the name to
Drivetrain Integration
Use the email provided by your Drivetrain CSM (e.g.,
[email protected]
)Go to the Access tab
Enable Give Access and assign a password
Assign the Administrator role
Click Save
Step 2: Generate Token Credentials
Log in as the integration user you just created
On the home screen, scroll to the Settings panel
Click Manage Access Tokens > New My Access Token
Select the existing
Drivetrain integration
Click Save
Copy the Token ID and Token Secret—these will not be shown again
Step 3: Share Access Securely with Drivetrain
After the token is generated, share the following details securely with your Drivetrain CSM:
Password (if not using TBA)
Token ID and Token Secret saved from the previous step
Consumer Key and Consumer Secret (Refer - Creating an Integration Record)
Account ID (Refer - Get your NetSuite Account ID)
Step 4: Revoke Access (Optional)
After the issue is resolved:
Go to Lists > Employees > Employees
Locate the integration user account
Click Edit
Disable Give Access or delete the user entirely
